I'm SO excited. I just got off of the telephone with my wonderful husband (did I mention we've been married for 25 years???), and he just made reservations for NEW YORK CITY! This is our big Silver Anniversary trip! Yippy - Skippy! Above is a picture of our 2 day trip to Carmel...isn't that true beauty? And the scene behind him is too! :-)
What a difference a day makes. Yesterday, while we were just sitting at home, minding our own business Gary's car was totaled (by a poor little girl practicing with her permit and her big sister), so today is a much better day!
Here's my favorite 25th Anniversary quote:
Love seems the swiftest, but it is the slowest of all growths. No man or woman really knows what perfect love is until they have been married a quarter of a century. Mark Twain

Amen to that quote, Sheri! Being married for 25 years and still be IN LOVE to the same person, it's hard to describe, is one of the most precious, most endearing, gifts! I look forward to another 25, 30, 40, or more with Greg!
Poor car! I'm sure the trip to New York eased the pain fast!!!
We miss you guys!
Darren and I are leaving Sunday after church and heading up the coast. We are staying a couple nights in Carmel and hanging out there and Monterey...that 17 mile jaunt. Darren wanted to go because he said Gary mentioned it so many times. As we were planning he kept saying, "Gary said this...Gary said that...we have to here because Gary said..." Maybe Darren would rather take Gary!! :-) Then we head up a little more north to San Francisco for a few more days! We'll be thinking of you guys while we are perusing the golf courses along the water!
25 years is amazing. God bless you for going the long haul.
Sorry about the car. I can KIND OF sympathize. Got a brand new van 4 weeks ago and then got into a crash last week. It is in the shop for a week. Whhhaaaaaa.
